Jake Paul was left spitting blood in the middle of the ring after revealing Anthony Joshua broke his jaw in their Miami showdown.

The YouTuber-turned boxer lasted six rounds against the two-time heavyweight champion before Joshua began inflicting serious damage.

Paul was dropped four times – twice in the fifth and twice in the sixth. While body shots initally sent Paul crashing to the mat, it was a devastating right across the jaw that ended the fight in spectacular fashion.

Paul revealed the extent of the damage that shot from Joshua caused after the fight.

‘I think my jaw is broken by the way,’ Paul said during his post-fight interview before pausing to spit out some blood.

‘Yeah, it’s definitely broke. But man that was good. A nice little a*s-whipping from one of the best to ever do it.

‘I love this so I’m going to come back and get a world championship belt at some point.’

Asked if he was surprised he lasted as long as he did against the former world champion, Paul added: ‘I’m not surprised, I just got tired.

‘It was just so much handling his weight. If I had better cardio I could have maybe kept on fighting. But he did amazing and he hits really hard.’

Paul started the fight in survival mode, keeping well out of Joshua’s way and refusing to engage before the Briton finally closed the distance and inflicted some pain.

Joshua predicted this week he would get the job done in round one or two and admitted he was not at his best on the night after a 15-month layoff.

‘It wasn’t the best performance. It wasn’t the best,’ Joshua said.

‘The end goal was to get Jake Paul, pin him down and hurt him. That has been the request leading up. That was on my mind.

‘It took a bit longer than expected, but the right hand finally found the destination. Jake Paul – he’s done really well tonight. I want to give him his props. He got up time and time again. It takes a real man to do that.’
