Secretlab and McLaren Team Up for Ultra-Limited MonoCell Edition Chair

Secretlab has partnered with McLaren Automotive once more, this time to create something far more than a mere branded seat. Only 100 McLaren MonoCell Editions will ever be manufactured, each with a genuine carbon fiber topshell that exactly replicates McLaren’s decades-long pioneering of single-piece chassis designs.
Carbon fiber initially appeared in Formula One on a McLaren in 1981, before making its road-car debut in the iconic F1’s full monocoque a decade later. Fast forward to present, and the same material underpins modern wonders such as the W1 hypercar. Secretlab transformed that engineering tradition into the chair’s backrest, layering the carbon fiber by hand to achieve the ideal balance of strength, slight flex, and lightweight.

Curves run gently from the headrest to the base, creating a delicate teardrop appearance that resembles the cabin design of the latest McLaren road vehicles. Dinamica microsuede covers every surface a body touches, providing the soft yet robust feel experienced in real McLaren cockpits. A little serialized plate on the back identifies each chair’s number from 1 to 100, making it a true collector’s item.

Under that sleek shell is Secretlab’s tried-and-true TITAN Evo platform. Cold-cure foam conforms to the body for appropriate pressure distribution during marathon workouts, and the pebble-shaped seat base promotes natural movement—sit erect, lean back, or even cross your legs without sacrificing support.

The four-way adjustable L-ADAPT lumbar support adjusts up, down, closer, or farther away to properly meet any spine, while full-metal 4D armrests change in every direction and the back reclines to 165 degrees for a fast break. Secretlab’s previous McLaren collaborations used printed patterns or leatherette to resemble carbon fiber. This edition foregoes the imitation entirely and employs genuine materials, which explains both the visual impact as well as the hefty $1,999 price tag.

Pre-orders begin on December 15 at 8 a.m. Pacific Time at Secretlab’s website. Once an order is processed, no cancellations or returns are permitted—a norm for pieces this exclusive. For those who missed out, the standard TITAN Evo McLaren Edition is still available, offering identical ergonomics in a less lavish form. Owning one means securing a piece of automotive history reconfigured for daily usage, where supercar artistry meets the realities of long hours at the office. These chairs will sell out soon, as manufacture is limited to triple digits worldwide.
