13-year-old Arsenal wonderkid makes history in UEFA Youth League | Football
Arsenal wonderkid Luis Munoz has become the youngest player in the history of the UEFA Youth League at the age of 13 years and 343 days.
The teenager made his debut in the competition on Wednesday as he came on for Arsenal U19s in their 4-2 victory over Bayern Munich U19s.
Munoz, an attacking midfielder, is now the UEFA Youth League’s youngest ever player, surpassing the previous record held by Liam Payas.
Payas appeared for Gibraltarian side Lincoln Red Imps last year at 14 years and 93 days.
But after Munoz was introduced with five minutes to go against Bayern, replacing goalscorer Kyran Thompson, he now holds the record himself.
