Harry Kane fires warning to Arsenal about Bayern Munich wonderkid Lennart Karl | Football
Harry Kane says Bayern Munich’s 17-year-old sensation Lennart Karl is ready to face Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday, talking up the teenager’s talent.
The youngster has been making a big impact for Bayern this season, despite not turning 18 until February.
The attacking midfielder has scored twice in nine Bundesliga outings and once in two Champions League appearances.
Karl has already been handed a place in Vincent Kompany’s starting XI four times and has earned a lot of praise for his early performances for the German giants.
The teenager looks set to be involved in the huge game at the Emirates and Kane has told the Gunners what to expect from the exciting young prospect.

‘I think he’s ready for a game like this, he’s proven that time and time again,’ said the England captain of the German prodigy.
‘You can see his confidence, how well he performs under pressure – he’s fast, agile, and difficult to mark. He’s a good player and we’re very happy to see what he can do.
‘He needs to keep working hard with a great coach we have who gives him freedom but also makes sure he doesn’t take too many risks – I hope he can continue to make the difference.’
Kompany also hinted that Karl will be thrown in against the Premier League leaders on Wednesday, although he did warn the wonderkid that the red hot form he has shown is bound to slow down at some stage.
‘He’s still young and will still be young for a few more years,’ said the Belgian. ‘That’s good and he should enjoy it.
‘What he’s achieving with his performances – that could continue for another 30 games, and we want to support him in that. The question is, how do we deal with it when that slows down?
‘He’s mentally stable. His performances are good not only offensively but also defensively. Tomorrow is another test, and we’re happy to accompany him on his journey.’
Kane also spoke out on another teammate, as Michael Olise will return with him to England to take on Arsenal.
The former Crystal Palace winger has been a big hit at Bayern and the England striker has been impressed by his improvement.
‘He’s a great professional and a great guy,’ said Kane of the France international. ‘I haven’t played against him much in the Premier League, but you can see the quality, the way he works every day and wants to improve.
‘You can see his development; he’s now in a team with better teammates – he’s really flourishing in this new environment. In the 18 months we’ve been together, I’ve seen him constantly improve.
‘Tomorrow will be a tough game for him, but he has great confidence to take on this task.’
